As part of their efforts to promote the program and engage with students, professionals, and institutions interested in driving change toward a more sustainable future, representatives from Columbia University visited Chile this week.
During their visit, Amanda Carlson, Associate Dean at the School of Professional Studies, and Dr. John Williams, Director of Student Affairs at Columbia’s Climate School, took part in various in-person activities, including educational fairs and public information sessions. They connected with more than 100 people at universities such as Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad Andrés Bello, Universidad de Chile, Universidad Diego Portales, y Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
About the Program and the Luksic Scholarship
Columbia’s Master of Science in Sustainability Management is an interdisciplinary program that blends management, economics, quantitative analysis, public policy, and sustainability practices. With only two required core classes, the program offers a flexible structure that allows students to tailor their academic experience based on their interests and career goals.
The program is based in New York City and is designed to prepare professionals to lead sustainable strategies across corporations, governments, and global organizations.
The Luksic Scholarships fully covers tuition, fees, living expenses, and relocation costs for the duration of the program.
Applications for the 2026–2027 cohort will open in the coming weeks and close on March 31, 2026. More information can be found on the Luksic Foundation’s website, and a recording of an information session is available on Columbia’s website. Interested candidates must apply directly to Columbia University.
In the coming months, the Luksic Foundation and Columbia SPS will host additional virtual information sessions for prospective applicants. The Luksic Foundation’s website will be updated with the latest dates and registration details.
