This agreement represents a concrete step in public–private collaboration to strengthen technical and vocational education in Chile and to support students throughout their educational journeys.
As part of the ceremony, students from the host school received informational sets from Aspiraciones sobre el Futuro (ASF), a gesture that reflected the joint commitment to guide young people in making decisions about their future and opening up new opportunities for growth.
The alliance is part of the Aspiraciones sobre el Futuro (ASF) program, an initiative led by Fundación Luksic that provides information, tools, and guidance to technical–vocational high school students so they can make informed decisions about continuing their studies.
Regarding the value of the program for the educational community, Verushka Álvarez, Deputy Director of Technical-Pedagogical Support at SLEP Santa Corina, stated: “We believe this program adds significant value for technical and vocational education students at a crucial stage in their educational journey. It provides personalized information and support in one of the most important decisions they will face regarding their future: the continuation of studies.”
César Mayolafquén, Principal of the Liceo Tecnológico Bicentenario Enrique Kirberg, added: “The impact that Aspiraciones sobre el Futuro has had on our senior-year technical-vocational students has been highly important—especially considering that technical-vocational students represent nearly 40% of national enrollment.”
Now in its fifth edition, ASF is present in 589 technical and vocational schools across Chile, reaching more than 65,000 senior-year students. The program includes the delivery of informational materials, mentoring, and teacher training, with the goal of guiding young people through this crucial stage in their educational journey.
Fernanda Orellana, Director of Education at Fundación Luksic, highlighted: “We are delighted that SLEP Santa Corina is part of this joint effort to drive the future of thousands of young people. We believe that every person has the potential to build their own future, and our program seeks to accompany technical and vocational students in key decisions, opening opportunities for them to continue their studies and fully develop their potential.”
