Students’ interest in entrepreneurship during their studies has become an increasing trend, driven by the need to combine employability with autonomy in their professional development. To respond to this, Fundación Luksic has launched a new edition of its program “Entrepreneurship as a Life Skill”, enabling students to foster an entrepreneurial mindset with the support of one of the world’s leading universities in this field.

More than 30 students from various programs at technical and vocational institutes in the Antofagasta Region —including Inacap, AIEP, Santo Tomás, and Ceduc UCN— will participate in “Entrepreneurship as a Life Skill”, delivered by Fundación Luksic in collaboration with Babson College, the number one university in entrepreneurship in the United States.

Throughout the course, participants will learn to identify key elements of entrepreneurship as useful tools for their daily lives, gaining leadership skills and recognizing business opportunities in their surroundings. Students will work in teams and, at the end of the program, one winning group will be selected and awarded scholarships to attend an educational week at Babson College in the United States.

Trinidad García, Fundación Luksic’s Director of International Training, emphasized:
“We are convinced that investing in this type of program is essential to fostering students’ entrepreneurial mindset, as it not only provides them with practical tools for innovation but also drives them to develop resilience and leadership. These competencies, increasingly valued in today’s labor market, directly contribute to their professional growth, allowing them to face future challenges with greater confidence.”

This is the second edition of the program, which was successfully implemented in 2024 in the Los Lagos Region. That first cohort benefited from valuable learnings, and four students were awarded scholarships to travel to Boston for a week-long entrepreneurial immersion in Babson College’s “Babson Build” program.

“We know that students are full of innovative business ideas, and through this partnership we want to provide them with useful tools that promote an entrepreneurial mindset and essential adaptability skills tailored to their fields of interest and context,” added García.

Valentina Rodríguez, a logistics engineering student at Inacap, shared her enthusiasm: “I’m very happy with this training opportunity and I hope to take these lessons and apply them in my daily life. Applying to this program was a great decision.”

Meanwhile, Cindy Alfaro, a student of Industrial Electricity and Electronics at Santo Tomás, highlighted her motivation: “I really liked the program’s curriculum, and it’s also a great opportunity to connect with other people, projects, and ideas. We’re going to learn, grow, and become agents of change.”
