During the first semester, students from Fundación Luksic’s hockey and soccer Sports Schools experienced a season filled with fun, teamwork, and camaraderie. In July, the finals took place, giving the young athletes a chance to showcase everything they had learned during training.urante sus entrenamientos.

Throughout June and July, more than 800 students came together for a new edition of the Inter-School League of Fundación Luksic’s Sports Schools—an event where sports, community, and learning were lived with intensity in every match.

The fields were full of energy and excitement, hosting soccer and hockey games with participants from the nine municipalities where this free program takes place: Lo Prado, Renca, Independencia, Estación Central, Peñalolén, La Pintana, El Bosque, La Florida, and Puente Alto for soccer; and La Pintana, Independencia, Lo Prado, Estación Central, La Florida, and Peñalolén for hockey.

Beyond the scoreboard, this tournament was a key opportunity for students to put into practice the values emphasized throughout their training: respect, perseverance, teamwork, and effort. It also helped strengthen community ties, as entire families came together to support their children, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and joy.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see the kids and their families having a good time, bonding with friends, and enjoying the game. The league has been very well received, and the role of parents is essential: when they get involved, they help reinforce children’s social-emotional skills, which is one of the core goals of the schools,” said Rosario Donoso, Sports Director at Fundación Luksic.

With pom-poms and cheers, families made their presence known in the stands each weekend. Juan Pinto, a parent from the Lo Prado Soccer Team, was one of the attendees and shared: “This has been very positive for my son. Beyond soccer, it’s helped him socialize, connect with other kids, develop empathy, and make friends. It’s a great way for him to unwind and take a break from school routines.”

Classes in both soccer and hockey Sports Schools will continue during the second semester in the Metropolitan Region and Antofagasta, where the program also takes place.
