Female entrepreneurship is playing an increasingly prominent role in Chile. In response, Fundación Luksic has launched a series of training sessions aimed at providing practical and accessible tools to women caregivers, helping them advance their businesses and build supportive networks among themselves.

Over two months, 27 women entrepreneurs and Teletón Antofagasta users will have access to a fully online, immersive training workshop designed to strengthen their digital skills, recognize their potential, and acquire knowledge to grow their businesses. The initiative is led by Fundación Luksic, aiming to empower participants and help them advance their entrepreneurial projects.

“Fundación Luksic’s mission is to continuously identify and understand the current needs of different social actors, so we can make a real contribution to improving their quality of life. In this initiative, we want to support the growth of these women, empowering them through training that enhances their businesses and provides them with the tools to bring their ideas to life,” explained Cristián Schalper, Director of Entrepreneurship at Fundación Luksic.

“Programs like this are essential, not only because entrepreneurship is key to our country’s development, but also because they create new opportunities for personal and professional growth for the mothers and users of our institute. Today, they felt heard, valued, and able to enjoy a space dedicated exclusively to them —something they often postpone due to childcare responsibilities,” said Sebastián Azares, Director of Teletón Antofagasta.

The workshop, organized by Corporación Mis Sueños, consists of three modules running through the end of October. Participants will receive digital literacy training, learn to enhance their personal skills, and identify the resources available to them as caregivers pursuing entrepreneurship. The program also covers basic concepts of value proposition, financial organization, and customer service. Considering the participants’ needs and commitments, the modules include practical activities and downloadable resources to integrate into their daily routines.

During the in-person launch, winners had the opportunity to share their experiences as caregivers and entrepreneurs, as well as reflect on their main motivations. “It is very important for us to hold events like this because they create a learning circle among participants, allowing them to exchange experiences and strengthen mutual support among women with similar life stories,” said Cristián Schalper from Fundación Luksic.

Javiera Artigas, one of the participants, expressed her enthusiasm and gratitude for the new knowledge gained: “We will continue learning valuable things for our businesses. Also, sharing with other moms makes us realize we can achieve so much more if we work together”. Likewise, Mariela Ledezma noted, “What I value most from this session is that it gave me the confidence to say ‘I can,’ and I know that with the team’s support, I will achieve my goals”.
