Fundación Luksic’s Impulso Inicial program generated great interest, receiving over 8,000 applications nationwide between June 3 and 16. This edition focused on entrepreneurs who incorporate sustainable practices in their businesses, such as material reuse, energy efficiency, and circular economy.
The call was particularly appealing to women entrepreneurs, who accounted for 86% of all applicants. The most common sectors among applicants were Food (25%), followed by Artisan products (18%) and Services (14%). Applications came from all over Chile, with notable concentrations in the Metropolitan, Valparaíso, and Biobío regions.
As in previous editions, the program was open to both formal and informal businesses with at least six months of operation and verifiable regular sales.
Cristián Schalper, Director of the Entrepreneurship Area at Fundación Luksic, highlighted the strong participation:
“With this edition, we aim to support entrepreneurs who innovate with creativity and a deep commitment to their environment. The strong interest in this initiative shows that sustainability is now a top priority for people.”
Given the high level of interest, the Entrepreneurship Director also announced the decision to increase the number of winners from 400 to 600. These entrepreneurs will receive tools, machinery, and training to help grow their businesses.
Next Steps
Over the next few weeks, Fundación Luksic’s team will verify applicants’ compliance with the program’s requirements and evaluate each submission. Selected entrepreneurs will be contacted directly to coordinate machinery delivery and training sessions, which will take place between August and September 2025.
Additional opportunities will be announced throughout the second half of the year on the Foundation’s website, www.fundacionluksic.cl, and its social media channels.
