The selected participants, who come from all 16 regions of the country, are committed to reusing materials, energy efficiency, and to the circular economy. Each of them received machinery to boost their businesses.

More than 8,000 people applied to the call for entrepreneurs from all over Chile who are implementing sustainable actions in their businesses. In total, 600 entrepreneurs were selected from the country’s 16 regions, ranging in age from 18 to over 70, reflecting the diversity and commitment to sustainability throughout the country.

“These entrepreneurs are demonstrating that it is possible to grow through hard work: generating income, caring for the environment, and contributing to their communities. Sustainability is a real opportunity to build more resilient local economies and cities with a better quality of life,” said Cristián Schalper, director of Entrepreneurship at the Luksic Foundation.

Through the “Initial Impulse, Sustainable Entrepreneurship” program, the Luksic Foundation provides direct support to those selected through semi-industrial tools or machinery, as well as access to the “Entrepreneurship Compass” tool, which provides a diagnosis of the business and tools on topics such as formalization, digital marketing, administration, and costs.

Since 2018, more than 16,000 entrepreneurs have been supported by the foundation through its various initiatives, seeking to promote the development and strengthening of entrepreneurship in the country.

Over the past few weeks, the selected participants have received their support tools and begun using La Brújula del Emprendedor (The Entrepreneur’s Compass), a platform developed by the Luksic Foundation that provides personalized guidance to strengthen each business by delivering a business diagnosis and tools in areas such as formalization, digital marketing, administration, and costs.

With this, the foundation seeks to promote sustainable growth in entrepreneurship in Chile, fostering more resilient and sustainable local economies.
