Valparaíso is one of the most touristic regions in Chile and is renowned for its exquisite gastronomy. It has also become a hotbed of entrepreneurship, fueled by the creativity and talent of its people, who are innovating in artisanal food production and signature cuisine.
According to data from the Regional Secretariat of Economy, Development and Tourism, the region has 600,000 businesses owned by individuals, and 41% of them are led by women. We invite you to discover Benevento Cucina, Caramel Servicios, Killkiña Olmué, and Stuck Kuchen—four women-led ventures that have consolidated their work through talent and dedication. All of them have been recognized by Fundación Luksic programs that support entrepreneur training.
For Fresh Pasta Lovers
On Freire Street 670 in Quillota, you’ll find a unique concept focused on family and pasta lovers: Benevento Cucina (@benevento_cucina), run by entrepreneur Nicole Erazo. This cozy, family-friendly restaurant offers a variety of handcrafted pasta and pizza dishes, prepared and served by the owners themselves. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM and also offers delivery and takeaway for those who prefer to enjoy the food at home. Benevento Cucina was a winner of Fundación Luksic’s Impulso Chileno program, receiving funding, mentorship, and training.
Handcrafted Sweetness for Every Occasion
Years ago, Stefani Araya followed her passion for baking and founded Caramel Servicios (@caramel_servicios), a pastry shop in Quilpué specializing in custom cakes, cupcakes, and desserts.
For Easter, she launched a special line that includes 12 assorted cupcakes (filled with dulce de leche, chocolate, and lemon pie), all decorated with mini glazed cookies. Orders must be placed at least five days in advance, and available dates are listed in her Instagram highlights. Caramel Servicios was featured in Fundación Luksic’s Impulso Inicial program, where it received equipment and training to grow the business.
Unique Experiences through Natural Infusions and Gourmet Salts
From the town of Olmué, Killkiña Olmué (@te_killkinaolmue) has made a name for itself with its artisanal teas and gourmet salts, inviting customers to discover new flavors and experiences under the slogan “a new taste for your home.” On Instagram, @te_killkinaolmue, you can find product catalogs with details on the benefits of the infusions, preparation instructions, and tips. This venture is led by Mónica Maureira, who actively participates in local fairs and events to promote her products, helping her build a solid customer base. Thanks to her entrepreneurial profile and career, she has been recognized by both Despega Mujer and Impulso Inicial, programs of Fundación Luksic.
